Enjoy Illinois Mile Marker Program

I’m excited to announce the I’ve been chosen as an Illinois Office of Tourism travel ambassador for their new program – “Mile Markers”!  Amy Larrick will be joining me and we’ll travel to various spots around Illinois blogging and photographing the wealth of beauty and culture present in our great state. 

Our first excursion will take us to Alton, Illinois in late January.  One attraction that makes this area special are the thousands of Bald Eagles that migrate here in late winter to feed in the cold waters of the Mississippi River – I think I’m going to have to pack a BIG lens for this! In addition to eagle watching, we plan on doing a little ziplining in Grafton, IL (yes, I know it’s January) as well as stopping at many other points of interest and restaurants along the way.
